SketchUp Shortcuts

Here I'm sharing my personal shortcuts I use in SketchUp. Very useful when drafting. When you get use to them you can make models at half the time. You have 2 options, manually set one by one or just download the file, paste it and replace in your computer I recommend not to change the SketchUp presetted shortcuts, just get use to them. Get Dimensions

This extension is very useful when you are drafting your model and you quickly need the XYZ dimensions of anything (blocks, components, etc) in your SketchUp model. Download  ›  GetDimensions.rbz Install Preferences › Extensions › Install extension › Select the file you just downloaded › Follow the prompts and steps Usage  › Menu › Extension › Get Dimensions Shortcut › Alt + D

Select Instances

This is a really useful extension when you are drafting in SketchUp. After you install this plugin you'll find two new tools on your context menu.  You can right click on a component on your model, Context menu › Select Instances, and this extension will select all the copies of the detected component you have in the model, very useful for landscape, architecture and more! Add Scene Layers

This SketchUp extension, as the name says, adds one layer dedicated to each scene already created. The best thing is that every new created layer will be on in it's unique Scene. Installation This instructions are listed to match Mac OS X steps, it may vary a bit on Windows, but the extension works for both operating systems. Download the file to your computer Open SketchUp and go to   Menu › Preferences... › Extensions › Install Extension... Select the file you just downloaded It will ask you if you trust this extension and if you want to install it, press " Yes " and the " Ok " That's it, the extension it's installed in your computer. Section Cut Face

If you are looking for a plugin to create your section slices in sketchup you are in the right place. This plugin will create a group of the section cut you select and fill it up automatically. Download the file to your computer Open SketchUp and go to   Menu › Preferences... › Extensions › Install Extension... xLine

Convert selected lines or edges to construction lines. on Mac OS X Installation Download  xLine.rbz  to your computer Open SketchUp and go to   Menu › Preferences... › Extensions › Install Extension... Select the file you just downloaded ( xLine.rbz ) It will ask you if you trust this extension and if you want to install it, press " Yes " and the " Ok " That's it, the extension it's installed in your computer. Drop

This plugin moves the selected objects along the Z axes There are 2 options: At an specific height, using the 'Drop at..'
