Section Cut Face

If you are looking for a plugin to create your section slices in sketchup you are in the right place.
This plugin will create a group of the section cut you select and fill it up automatically.

Installation
This instructions are listed to match Mac OS X steps, it may vary a bit on Windows, but the extension works for both operating systems.
  1. Download the file to your computer
  2. Open SketchUp and go to  Menu › Preferences... › Extensions › Install Extension...
  3. Select the file you just downloaded
  4. It will ask you if you trust this extension and if you want to install it, press "Yes" and the "Ok"
  5. That's it, the extension it's installed in your computer.

Usage
  1. Open the SketchUp file you want to create a section cut on
  2. Turn Off all layers you don't want to be cutted
  3. Right-Click Section Cut
  4. In the context menu, Select Add Section-Cut Face.
  5. Wait (it could take a while)..
  6. Be happy, that was easy..

  4. Doesn't work... don't have option Add Section-Cut Face. I have SketchUp 2014.

    1. It is not tested on SKP 2014. It may not work on that version.

    2. your file is a ruby file (rb) right? is there any difference with rbz file? since my sketchup cannot detect the rb file, only rbz

    3. exactly, the file is a .rb , what you need to do is to compress the file into a .zip file and after that's done, just rename it to "SectionCutFace.rbz" that's it

Get Dimensions
